ManagedAssets is a complete engineering process and technical document management solution for organizations that own, operate and maintain a large commercial and industrial asset base.

ManagedAssets is built on the FileNet P8 ECM (enterprise content management) platform using other technology partners to extend P8 capabilities for handling complex, compound, technical design documents. The IBM product, DB/2 Document Manager, provides this additional functionality that includes CAD creation, markup and viewer tools integration, revision management, work package management and distribution and concurrent engineering.

Managed Assets is a suite of user configurable content management applications that provides a single point of controlled access to manage the production and use of project content, including drawings, correspondence, procedures, specifications etc. It is used by owner operators and engineering prime contractors in the process manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities and engineering, design and construction sectors to manage projects from initial design through operations and maintenance phases to eventual decommissioning. FileNet P8 provides scalability and enterprise ECM functionality.
